First proper lesson!

So today was my first proper ‘lesson’ after my trial lesson.

I was quite worried I would feel a bit sicky again but brilliantly this didn’t happen.

At engine start-up and power checks i’m still in awe of how cool it is to be sat behind a prop…

So this lessons was quite straightforward, we flew into the local area and did effects of controls part 2. In addition to what I picked up on the trial lessons I learned that power effects the pitch and yaw and roll. Trim makes life easy. Carb heat does have a noticable effect, flaps seem quite dramatic, and it’s crazy how much you can lean the engine away from the ‘fully rich’ position.
